Bible Verse:
Acts 20: 35
have shewed you all things, how that so labouring
ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the
words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more
blessed to give than to receive.
Support one another
At times we get so caught up with our own affairs
that we think we’re ok and that we can go
it alone. Only when things get rough and the weight
of our burdens become heavy, do we look around for
some assistance. There is no shame in realizing
that we need and want the support of our friends.
As Christians, when we see a brother or sister struggling
we should instinctively desire to help.
Some
believe it’s a sign of weakness to want someone
to help carry our load. Yet, that is why we have
a community, so that each person can have the benefit
of the aid of those around them and not feel alone
or isolated. We must actively look for ways that
we can lend our support. This is what God requires.
If we’re doing what He asks, then no one should
be faltering or in need.
Generally,
we assume we’re doing enough to care for our
friends and loved ones. We want the best for them
and we want them to prosper, but there is always
room for further benevolence and compassion. Even
those that seem to be doing well, require our support
and encouragement. Only God knows what’s really
going on inside.
I
encourage you all to find ways to lovingly offer
your help to those around you. May His peace be
with you all.
