Bible Verse:
2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass
the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same
image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit
of the Lord.
In Between
I had the pleasure of running around with my nieces
and nephews and their friends yesterday. It was
an amazing experience. As I watch them grow up and
get older, it’s interesting to see life through
their eyes. They’re a lot of fun to hang out
with. The kids are at that “in between”
stage where they can surprise you with their maturity
and insight, while making you laugh out loud at
their silly antics. I thank God for being blessed
with the opportunity to get to know them better.
They help me to stay young at heart.
It’s
funny how, every so often, I feel as if I’m
in the “between” stage in my relationship
with the Lord. At times, I surprise myself with
my spiritual maturity, particularly when I’m
actually obedient and do what God asks me to do…the
first time. Other times, I can’t believe how
easy it is to take a step backward, falling into
old patterns of behaviour.
The
important thing is that we continue to grow, and
the good news is that God is with us at every step.
We will not always be “in between”.
There will be times when we will be amazed at the
extent of our progress. Yes, there will be moments
when we cry in frustration because things don’t
seem to change. Never give up. They will change.
One day, we all will be changed into His glory.
